With the principal goal of housing low risk custody inmates performing community work service all around the State, Loxley Community Work Center has formally operated during October 1990. The center has a total capacity of housing 124 inmates.

Loxley Work Release Center was established on November 1995 with a capacity to house a total
of 370 inmates.
